15 ‘90s Throwbacks for your playlist
1. Hey Jealousy – Gin Blossoms

Top 40 hits are great to jam to, but like the majority of human beings, after listening to the same few songs on repeat I get a little crazy. If you are at a point of insanity, here is a list of throwbacks from the ‘90s that you should use to refresh your playlist.

Hey Jealousy is number one on my list because it is the perfect ‘90s song. Everything about it reminds me of excessive plaid, and it was featured on my favorite ‘90s movie, Empire Records.

2. All The Small Things – blink-182

The perfect song to crank in the car and sing horribly off-tune to.

3. When I Come Around – Green Day

This song is pre- American Idiot, and was their most popular single on the radio during the early part of their career. It’s essentially a big part of American history.

4. Follow You Down – Gin Glossoms

Just like number one, but in ‘90s, groovy love song form.

5. (You Drive Me) Crazy – Britney Spears

What’s a 90s playlist without Britney? For even more ‘90s fun, watch the music video which features Melissa Joan Hart and Adam Grenier from the 1999 movie, Drive Me Crazy.

6. Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana

My friend didn’t realize this is the song Jay-Z sampled for Holy Grail, and I was very disappointed in him. Don’t be that person.

7. Mr. Jones – Counting Crows

I like the “Sha la la la la” at the beginning of the song. Also, it’s one of those songs you know all the words to without even realizing it.

8. What’s My Age Again – blink-182

Blink-182 tells it like it is – being 23 is hard.

9. Tearin’ Up My Heart – *NSync

Every playlist needs a breakup song. Also, I was also more of an *NSync fan than a Backstreet Boys fan.

10. Iris – The Goo Goo Dolls

Iris is one of the most profoundly written songs I’ve ever heard.

11. Two Princes – Spin Doctors

One of those songs you always hear on the radio, but never know the name of or who the artist is. The mystery is now solved.

12. 3 a.m. -  Matchbox 20

From before Rob Thomas was known as just Rob Thomas.

13. I’ll Be – Edwin Mcain

Basically THE love song from the ‘90s. Ladies, Edwin will definitely make you swoon.

14. One Week  - Barenaked ladies

How to sing this song: “It’s BEEN one week since you looked at me mumblmuble and said SORRY.”

15. Fly – Sugar Ray

I still have no clue what this song is really about, but it makes me want to roll the car windows down and bob my head, which is really all that matters.
