How I feel about the TFIOS becoming a movie

If you haven't heard of John Green, you should fix that. With my favorite book soon to be turned into a movie, I'll delve into the things I'm most excited (and nervous) about from the Secret Life of the American Teenager actress Shailene Woodley to the band Bright Eyes scoring the film.

One day rather recently I got a random inclination to watch one of old favorite cartoons, Rugrats. The best part about my recent Rugrats discovery, however, was the discovery of all of my other favorite childhood TV shows that also exist on Netflix for streaming, much to my pleasant surprise.

Let me just say that I hate covers of songs. I like remixes and mash-ups, but for some reason I just can’t do covers. Then Karmin came into my life. I was minding my own business listening to Spotify radio, then bam my life was changed.

With the release of The Bling Ring directed by Sofia Coppola, E! Entertainment has capitalized on re-airing their three-year-old reality show Pretty Wild which stars one of the girls allegedly part of the actual Bling Ring.

Remember these little guys? They were THE toys to have circa Christmas 1998. I thought they were gone for good when they disappeared off the shelves around 2007 after their 2005 revival, but au contraire; they’re back and in full (now neon) force.

If you haven’t read the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, you definitely should. The books center around Clary Fray, a “mudane” who finds herself plummeted into the world of demon-killing Shadowhunters as she uncovers the secrets of her past. The first book in the series, City of Bones, has been made into a movie that will hit theaters on August 21st.

Royal Teeth is one of those bands that you can just listen to on repeat for a day straight… even if they only have a grand total of five songs. That’s all changing August 13th with the release of their first full-length album, Glow.

There’s something about BBC shows that I find wildly addicting, and I’m pretty sure it’s not just the British accents (although maybe it is that). Anyone that has seen Downton Abbey can attest to the greatness of British TV shows, but that's a discussion all on its own.

My movie choices this summer have been limited to those tagged “dramas with a strong female lead” on Netflix. Today I decided to branch out and see the new comedy The To Do List starring Aubrey Plaza.

After horrible disappointment in the first Percy Jackson movie, I was skeptical about seeing the second film, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. I was pleasantly proved wrong.

Every time I go to my parents’ house, I immediately take advantage of their free cable. Usually, that means Law and Order SVU marathons or catching up on bad MTV shows. That’s how I discovered MTV’s Girl Code and ladies and gents—it’s a gem.

So, since I’ve already written on the record that I watch(ed) both Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl, I can admit that I began watching new CW webseries’ offered on CW Seed today. And some of them were pretty good.

On August 11 the infamous Heisenberg returned...with all of his money, mischief, and conniving plots.

Popular for their hit “Sweater Weather,” I think The Neighbourhood will be the next big name in alternative rock.

I’m about to share some pretty unpopular opinions about this show so you may want to quit reading if you’re a die-hard fan. There may be some spoilers too so be warned if you haven’t watched the show yet.

I’ve been very publicly excited about this movie for many many months and am very happy to announce that the Divergent movie passed the Maggie Martin book-turned-movie test. There are a few key points to my fail proof test, and I’m here to share how Divergent passed on almost every count. Yes, there will be some spoilers!
