Wild Belle live in concert

This weekend I went to probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. The band was Wild Belle (they have one song on the Pitch Perfect soundtrack) and their album Isles has quickly become my new studying playlist.

The brother-sister duo definitely has this Reggae sort of feel with an awesome bari sax feature in each song that makes for an interesting and somehow perfect combination. Natalie Bergman, the lead singer has the most distinct voice that you’d never imagine to come out of her. They’re fairly new—only forming their own project together in 2011 after splitting from Elliot’s band NOMO, but they’ve already performed on Conan and had a song in a major motion picture.

I’m so thankful Tay let me know about this concert (and it was a great excuse to see her again!)

My favorite songs include “Keep You” (which is probably their most popular), “Shine”, and the only song on the album with Elliot’s vocals, “When It’s Over”.  Check out their website for more information on downloading their music—it’s definitely worth the listen.

My attempt at a concert photo. Natalie and Elliot Bergman.
