Personally, I think we're looking at the Amanda situation all wrong. Because really, who in their right mind would call Drake ugly? She's playing an opposite game with us. Find out how.

How I feel about the TFIOS becoming a movie

If you haven't heard of John Green, you should fix that. With my favorite book soon to be turned into a movie, I'll delve into the things I'm most excited (and nervous) about from the Secret Life of the American Teenager actress Shailene Woodley to the band Bright Eyes scoring the film.

The show may be over, but Chuck Bass still holds my heart. After one fateful (and couch potato-esque) Christmas break, Gossip Girl ruined my life. Here's how.

Remember the Disney Channel sisters of the movie Cow Belles, Aly and AJ Michalka? They’re all grown up now, past their Potential Breakup Song times with their new song Hothouse under their new band name, 78violet.

This summer I got a job at a large unnamed retail store. While I once told my friends “if I could marry a store, I’d marry this one” the store and I have a much different relationship now that I’ve experienced how it all runs.

Cory Monteith, 31 found dead yesterday in a Canadian hotel… I have no words.

With the release of The Bling Ring directed by Sofia Coppola, E! Entertainment has capitalized on re-airing their three-year-old reality show Pretty Wild which stars one of the girls allegedly part of the actual Bling Ring.

The new theatrical trailer for Catching Fire is really something. It has the perfect amount of Gale (sorry, I’m one of those rare Gale fans) kick-ass outfits, and knock-you-in-the-gut emotion surrounding the revolution that even non-THG fans should feel moved.

Well. Seeing as my nerdy side usually conquers all others, this fine day has been spent sifting through Comic Con panels of my favorite movies and TV shows. There are probably too many to list here that I am looking forward to, so I’ll stick to four: Divergent, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Catching Fire, and The Vampire Diaries.

Royal Teeth is one of those bands that you can just listen to on repeat for a day straight… even if they only have a grand total of five songs. That’s all changing August 13th with the release of their first full-length album, Glow.

It’s been a solid two months since the series finale of The Office and I’m still struggling to come to terms with that fact. In the process of my denial, I’ve compiled a list of the things I miss most from the show and, I’m betting you do too.

I’m not going to lie—most of my musical discoveries start from a random instrumental portion of a song featured in a movie that I quickly Shazam from the theater. But today I’m talking about my favorite songs from my home theater: the best TV playlist of 2013.

Grace Helbig of DailyGrace is a comedic goddess who is climbing up the YouTube popularity ladder. With 1.7 million subscribers and being named the Streamy’s Personality of the Year, there are too many reasons why I’d love to be her. I’ve managed to narrowed it down to ten.

For all of the incoming college freshmen (and nostalgic freshmen) these phases in life will most likely happen to you. So why not take a glimpse into your future before you take that leap into quasi-adulthood?

Well this video has officially made my night. If you haven’t seen Mumford and Sons' new music video for Hopeless Wanderer, go make your life a little bit happier.

My movie choices this summer have been limited to those tagged “dramas with a strong female lead” on Netflix. Today I decided to branch out and see the new comedy The To Do List starring Aubrey Plaza.

If you weren’t already excited about The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones movie, you should be after you watch this clip.

Obviously the world can’t get enough of Lily Collins. One of my favorite bands M83 recently shot an MTV Supervideo for their song “Claudia Lewis” directed by Bryce Dallas Howard starring some big teen names like Lily Collins (City of Bones), Israel Broussard (The Bling Ring), and Ashley Rickards (Awkward). And I adore it.

After horrible disappointment in the first Percy Jackson movie, I was skeptical about seeing the second film, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. I was pleasantly proved wrong.

This summer I started watching Amy Pohler’s hilarious show Parks and Recreation. While I never thought a show could fill the comedy love of my life like The Office, Parks and Rec has slowly found its way into my heart. Here are a few things I’ve learned from the show.

Call me a product of the 2008 vampire-paranormal romance craze, but I love the (if somewhat horribly titled) book series Vampire Academy by Richelle Meade. And, like most good books that I write about on here, it’s being made into a movie.

So, since I’ve already written on the record that I watch(ed) both Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl, I can admit that I began watching new CW webseries’ offered on CW Seed today. And some of them were pretty good.

Since Teen Vogue is still a fashion inspiration for me, I do follow them on twitter. And today they tweeted about their new video series called Besties where celebrities and their best friends talk about their friendship amidst their separate, crazy lives.

In an effort to avoid rehashing Miley Cyrus’ VMA fiasco, I’m going to talk about two projects that I’m really excited about instead: Mamrie Hart’s Camp Takota movie and The Fault In Our Stars.

Kate first shared the artist Lorde with CPC a few weeks ago when all the artist had available was an EP. Now, in a week Lorde’s debut album Pure Heroine will be available for download. In the meantime, the album will be streaming live here. Check it out!

Maggie is a junior at the University of Iowa who obsesses over TV and movies in an almost inhuman way. She pours her love of all things pop culture into the site that she created one summer at her parent's house. Tweet with me if you feel so inclined @maggersann

I’ve been very publicly excited about this movie for many many months and am very happy to announce that the Divergent movie passed the Maggie Martin book-turned-movie test. There are a few key points to my fail proof test, and I’m here to share how Divergent passed on almost every count. Yes, there will be some spoilers!
