All my friends live on YouTube

One of my friends recently tweeted something to the extent of “All my friends live on YouTube”… and I sort of have to agree. I mean, obviously I have very human real-life friends, but I am addicted to following the lives of YouTubers and come back to them religiously every day.

What I find most enjoyable about watching YouTubers versus watching a movie or TV show is the interaction. These are real people, real lives that you become invested in and can interact with online. Or at a big convention (I’m looking at you Vidcon). So I’m going to do this list style and share a little bit about my best YouTube friends (relatively speaking). Please share with me who I should check out and add to the good ol’ subscription feed.

Grace is like your cool older sister who sneaks you booze and makes you laugh. While she’s just gone through a transformation from DailyGrace to ItsGrace, she already has almost 700,000 subscribers built back up. If that isn’t talent, I don’t know what is. If you’re unfamiliar with her My Damn Channel controversy, check out an article I wrote about it here. And I can’t mention Grace without the other two parts of the Holy Trinity, Mamrie Hart and Hannah Hart

John and Hank were my entrance into the world of YouTubers and I’ve never turned back. Their videos have changed my life along with John’s books, especially The Fault in Our Stars. TFiOS is my most-recommended book. They are intelligent, funny, and reassure viewers that being nerdy is awesome. Nerdfighter for life.

If I get into the love I have for British YouTubers I will be here all day. Zoe and her friends are close to my age which makes for relatable circumstances in the ever-enchanting British setting. She and her “chummy” Louise remind me of my best friend and I when we are together and every moment with her boyfriend Alfie is adorable. Oh, and her brother Joe is equally adorable and also has a successful channel.

If I could be any person for one day I would probably choose Tyler Oakley. He is hilarious, fabulous, and got to interview One Direction one time. How freaking cool is that? On top of interacting with all of the famous YouTubers that I love, he is one half of my YouTube OTP Troyler.

Troye is probably the most beautiful YouTuber if we’re being honest. He makes a lot of funny videos and I have been known to leave his outtro on loop, but my favorite Troye videos are his singing ones, especially his original song The Fault in Our Stars based off of John Green’s novel.

These are just a few of my favorites. Let me know in the comments who else I should be watching and if you have a free ticket to VidCon, I’ll gladly take it off your hands.
