College Pop Culture.

Created by a college student for college students, College Pop Culture strives to provide fun information anywhere from interesting tabloid news to random blog postings about music and tv.

The creator of College Pop Culture, Maggie Martin, has always been interested in music, books, movies and TV... and the occasional celebrity gossip. She created CPC in an effort to bring a fun site for the inbetweeners: students who didn't want to keep up with Teen news but still wanted a young perspective on popular culture. Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to email CPC with ideas. We're always looking for more contributors!

Maggie is a junior at the University of Iowa who obsesses over TV and movies in an almost inhuman way. She pours her love of all things pop culture into the site that she created one summer at her parent's house. Tweet with me if you feel so inclined @maggersann

Allie Windergerst, writer, College Pop Culture, contributor

Allie is a senior at the University of Iowa majoring in English and Communications. She's seen every episode of Friday Night Lights and Supernatural, loves a wide range of music, and frequently whips out her rapping skills at parties and while driving/ car dancing.

Kate Maxcy, writer, College Pop Culture, contributor

Kate is a junior at the University of Missouri studying journalism with an emphasis in strategic communications. She's an aquarius, her favorite color is purple, and she loves traveling. When she's not working at the Rec, she's reading a good book, looking for new music, or watching How I Met Your Mother on Netflix.

Alyssa Soto, writer, College Pop Culture, contributor

Alyssa is a sophomore at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois majoring in musical theater. She was a Disney princess in another life, which explains her need to suddenly break out into song and dance. When not jamming out to her favorite Broadway soundtracks, she devotes herself to watching Netflix, geeking out over just about anything or eating Nutella.

Andrea Pingel, writer, College Pop Culture, contributor

Andrea is a junior at the University of Northern Iowa studying English with a minor in Professional Writing. I am an avid Tweeter and Social Media fanatic. When I'm not binge watching a T.V. series, you can find me planning/programming events for my campus and taking long walks on the beach with my imaginary boyfriend #foreveralone
