How ABC Family Ruined My Life Tonight

Well. Like the rest of the female population, I watched the season finales of Pretty Little Liars and Twisted. As I have now had exactly 15 minutes to process both, I’m going to attempt to decipher what happened in each.

Pretty Little Liars

First thing’s first. If you haven’t seen the finale episode THERE WILL BE SPOILERS. If you read past this point I have no sympathy for you.

This episode started out perhaps a little slow. The coffins were getting a little old to be honest. Then the magic show happened and everything started going to pure fiery PLL hell.

Emily almost gets sawed in half and then presumably saved? by Cee Cee Drake who “dies” falling over the railing in the saw mill. Then Spencer follows Alison to A’s lair where they find all of these pictures of the girls hanging up like in Mona’s previous lair. But this one is more high tech and creepier. Then Grundalwald comes into the picture and drops the ALI IS ALIVE bomb, saying that A was torturing the girls to reach Alison.

And then, who of all people do they reveal to be the male A or Boardshorts or whatever you want to call him? Mr. Ezra Fitz. I seriously can’t. I hope this is another Toby situation otherwise I might have lost all my faith in OTP’s forever.

I mean, how could we not have seen this secret message in the chalk board before now?!

Twisted

My Twisted theory since about episode three has been that Jo and Danny are, in fact, half brother and sister and that Mrs. Tess Masterson is behind more of this than we know. After tonight’s frantic call to the seemingly dead Vikram Desai, we can definitely assume that she’s playing a part in this.

Three big questions come to mind: Where did Danny escape to? And why the heck did Jo give IT ALL UP to Tyler after being so upset with him earlier? Was Tess the one in the car that scratched Regina?

And can we talk about how much my heart broke for Rico? He’s been as Jo put it “her constant through everything” yet she treats him just like Danny did her. I feel for you Rico. I’d date you in a heartbeat.

I’m finding Twisted to be more entertaining now than Pretty Little Liars, probably just because PLL has gotten to a fairly ridiculous level in the past two seasons. I applaud ABC Family for their two mega-hits and will be awaiting the release of the rest of the seasons in January.

ALSO

Ravenswood? Will Caleb be Caleb in Ravenswood? They keep talking about being called back from a destiny and a curse… this makes me think he’s somehow going to become trapped in Ravenswood after leaving on the bus. Just a weird inkling. Hopefully ABC throws us some more hints before the world premier in October.
