5 Easy Costumes for the Halloween Procrastinator

As my roommate and I rifled through our closet last night we found out that we actually have quite a few Halloween costume possibilities between the two of us. I’ve narrowed our findings to five easy costumes that you can throw together before you head out to Halloween parties tomorrow night.

#1 Greek Goddess

If you have white (or pastel) sheets you can make a toga out of them. Said roommate and I had a hard time trying to make it the right length, but if you have patience, this is a viable option. Also wearing a beaded headband to add a feminine touch would top it all off. Here’s the video we wanted to emulate.

#2 Common White Girl

If you’re a fan of the Twitter handle, CWG, then the costume won’t be too hard to emulate. We chose leggings, Ugg boots, a button down chambray top, and a Starbucks cup in hand.

#3 Jenna Hamilton from Awkward

I adore this show and thankfully the main character has an extremely iconic look. All you need to pull this look off is some flare jeans, a frumpier top, and that classic side-braid. To add to the costume, you could put stickers that say “Team Matty” “Team Collin” and “Team Jake” on your bod.

#4 A Cougar

Everyone enjoys using this term for an older woman going after younger men, and this year I happen to own some clothes that screamed classic “cougar”. Try a low-cut top, tight skirt and definitely play up the makeup and hair. It’s sort of a sexy librarian gone wrong. Could also be a stage mom from Toddlers and Tiaras.

#5 A Polar Bear Plunge participant

What an excuse to wear that swimsuit you got on sale last week. Wear your suit with a big winter hat, gloves, and boots and put a bunch of blush on your cheeks and nose to make you look cold. Pretty original, eh?

Let me know if any of these ideas work out for you and happy early Halloween!
