The Mindy Project Miracle
Disclaimer: if you haven’t watched The Desert episode of The Mindy Project that aired on Tuesday Jan 21, don’t read further. I will spoil things. AWESOME things that took place on The Mindy Project.

I’ve always been a big advocate for this show for how realistic and non-fairytale like it is. Mindy Kaling depicts romance and adulthood in a painfully believable way that is easy to relate to. But last night I would say I believed in a little magic.

Since the first episode I think every viewer wanted Dr. Mindy Lahiri and Dr. Danny Castellano (Chris Messina) to break their sexual tension. It’s been two seasons and many episodes of torture, but it finally happened. And I screamed.

The last four episodes have been beyond frustrating to sit through—Danny is figuring out that he has feelings for Mindy while she is obsessed with dating Cliff. Cliff, what kind of name is that anyway? She would rather ditch Danny who is dealing with a huge emotional crisis of visiting his father to go and win Cliff back. I seriously wanted to smack her.

Thankfully she gains some sense after a drunken Danny calls for her to find him in the desert. He patches things up with his father and they all attend his little sister “Little Danni’s” soccer game together. All is well and good.

Then the plane. We all remember the first time they were on a plane together in season 1 episode 21 when there was turbulence and they reach for each other’s hands. This time when they’re flying back and there’s major turbulence after Mindy has left to get a drink and Danny reaches for her and she’s not there—I can’t even talk about his face.

He finds her, she makes a stupid comment about the small water bottles and the moment that we’ve all waited for happens. I’m not lying when I say I screamed. I’m posting it down below so you can watch it on repeat as much as possible.
