I cannot even express how excited I am for the Catching Fire movie. Not only do I own a first edition of The Hunger Games (thanks eight grade Twilight phase) but also have all of the books in both paperback and e-reader form. I adore them, plain and simple. I saw THG three times in theaters and have it on my iPod. My mom even bought me my own copy of the DVD to keep with me in college. THAT MUCH.

 

The new theatrical trailer for Catching Fire is really something. It has the perfect amount of Gale (sorry, I’m one of those rare Gale fans) kick-ass outfits, and knock-you-in-the-gut emotion surrounding the revolution that even non-THG fans should feel moved. And the part where Katniss’ name is drawn for the quarter quell and she sheds a perfectly dramatic single tear? Shivers.

 

Plus the two seconds that we get to see my favorite character of all Hunger Games history, Finnick Odair, were pretty effing awesome.

 

Here’s the video, I’m going to go watch it a few hundred more times. Desperately awaiting November 22.
