Disney Classics for your Netflix Pleasure

This isn’t really an article; it’s mostly just a heads up. There are a ton of Disney cartoon movies on Netflix now that some people don’t know about, and I feel like it's my obligation to make sure that you lovely readers do. Everyone loves Disney movies, and the best part about them is they never get old even when you do. With midterms quickly approaching, I know I will be taking many breaks to watch a Disney cartoon or two. Here are some of the best selections:

1. Hercules

This movie never gets old.  I didn’t like it that much when I was little, except for the “I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” song which I still rock out to on occasion. (Gotta keep up appearances; I look like the kind of person that’s been locked in a closet listening to Disney music for the last 20 years so every once in awhile I need a throwback to maintain that image).

 2. Lilo and Stitch

This movie is great.  I love the line at the end when Stitch says, “This is my family.  I found it, all on my own. Is little, and broken, but still good.  Yeah, still good.” Be right back while I cry from the cuteness…

3. Tim Burton's

The Nightmare

Before Christmas

I loved this movie growing up, and I still don’t really know why but something about it remains very dear to my heart to this day.

4. The Emperor’s New Groove

I’m going to be honest, this movie makes a lot less logical sense than the rest of them, and I give props to the creative mind that came up with the idea for the story because it works, and quite well. I vaguely recall thinking it was hilarious to mimic Yzma’s voice when she’s turned into a cat at the end of the movie but I’m not going to fully commit to admitting that just yet…

5. The Fox and the Hound

This was one of my top three favorites when I was little next to “The Little Mermaid” and “The Great Mouse Detective (which is also on Netflix but not featured on this list). I am not sure why, because it’s actually really sad. Nevertheless, it’s pretty great, and super cute.
